The Black Women’s Arts Festival (BWAF) is an award-winning inclusive community cultural arts event that annually features multi-media arts and performance by black women and girls. Founded in 2003, our primary and original venue is The Rotunda, and funded in large part by the University of Pennsylvania.

The Women’s Writing & Spoken Word Series is a “nurturing environment that celebrates women in the craft of multi-genre writing”. Founded in 2002, its original venue was Robins Bookstore / Moonstone Arts Center, and has over the years enjoyed different venues including Big Blue Marble Bookstore. Currently we are expanding our YouTube presence in addition to other goals.
